A grand plan for the future of care

Who could have predicted social care would be as big an issue as it became in the General Election? With Theresa May’s plan so widely criticised she was forced into a dramatic U-turn.

This year’s Queen’s Speech doesn’t deliver any immediate solutions, but it promised a consultation on proposals to improve social care. It’s a hot topic, one which saw Mrs May get her fingers burned, and now local government think-tank Localis has put forward its plans to integrate health and social care.
