Burnham’s integration vow over GM health and care

Andy Burnham has vowed to drive ‘further and deeper’ integration in Greater Manchester as he pushes health and social care towards a single system.

The newly-elected mayor had previously called for social care to be run by the NHS, and, as health secretary in 2010, pledged to create a national care service – a policy Labour this week revisited in its manifesto.
