Council buys BP office park

Spelthorne BC has bought the largest privately owned office park in the country as it wrestles to secure financial stability amid ongoing cuts. 

Council leader Cllr Ian Harvey said he hoped the purchase of the BP campus in Sunbury-upon-Thames, which is currently home to approximately 3,000 employees, will generate a ‘significant income’ for the council for at least the next two decades.
