Council leader moots rejoining COSLA

The leader of one of the four Scottish councils that broke away from the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) has suggested it may rejoin the organisation.

Speaking after a meeting this week with COSLA president, Cllr David O’Neill, South Lanarkshire leader Cllr Eddie McAvoy said there ‘may be merit’ in the local authority ‘reconsidering’ its membership of the local government body.
