Electoral staff ‘need improvement’

Plymouth City Council must take ‘urgent action’ to improve the quality of its elections staff after it omitted counting more than 6,000 General Election votes, a review has urged.

The independent investigation by the council and the Electoral Commission was undertaken by former Sunderland City Council chief executive Dave Smith.
