‘Fighting for the Wight’

For most people, the Isle of Wight is known as a holiday destination. Since Queen Victoria ruled an empire from her ‘summer’ home at Osborne and the Victorians first flocked in their droves, visitors have been drawn to the sunniest place in England, with 67 miles of unbroken coastline. In 2013, over 2.3 million people visited the Island.

But tourism is just a part of a wider, diverse economy.
