Several chief executives have called on local government to seize powers over attendance allowance as part of business rates retention.
The Local Government Association has warned against new demand-led responsibilities, but at The MJ’s Future Forum North, Warwickshire CC boss Jim Graham said the sector asked for 100% business rate retention and should therefore ‘live or die by it’.
