Leeds drafted in to help Kirklees' children's services

Kirklees MBC is being assisted by Leeds City Council to improve its ‘inadequate’ children’s social care service because it cannot do so on its own, according to an independent review.

The four-month review was commissioned by the Department for Education after an Ofsted report last November found that the council’s children’s social care service was ‘inadequate’.
