Union slams suspension of backdated social care ‘sleep-in’ staff payments

Whitehall action to prop-up social care providers has been criticised by local government’s largest trade union.

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) last week announced measures to suspend backdated minimum wage payments for social care ‘sleep-in’ staff.
