Unison calls for lifting of 1% public sector pay cap

General secretary of trade union Unison, Dave Prentis, this week called on the Government to lift the public sector pay cap.

Public sector staff pay rises are currently capped at 1% a year until 2019 – way below the UK inflation rate of 2.9%.
