When will we give social care the attention it deserves?

As Theresa May found out to her cost some years ago, there are no votes in social care. Her attempt to sort out the social care system turned into an election disaster.

The ‘death tax’ gaff arguably led her to a shaky majority that ultimately toppled her premiership – although there may have been plenty more stumbling blocks along the way.
