Answers sought over action against council chief

Councillors in Northumberland have demanded to see a report detailing why disciplinary action against its chief executive was taken and subsequently dropped.

After emailing councillors to raise whistleblowing concerns, CEO Daljit Lally was placed on ‘extended leave’ in August last year.
