Brexit lead officers thanked after Yellowhammer stood down

Brexit lead officers (BLO) of local authorities in England have been thanked after no-deal preparations for the end of this month were formally stood down.

They were told on Christmas Eve that Prime Minister Boris Johnson had agreed that Operation Yellowhammer should be halted due to the ‘decreased likelihood’ of the UK leaving the EU without a deal on January 31.
