Brexit warning for Middlesbrough

Senior Middlesbrough councillors have been warned that the potential economic damage arising from Britain leaving the EU could derail its strategy for regeneration and renewal. 

A report to a meeting of the council’s executive next week said Brexit could endanger the council’s £720m investment strategy, which is a major driver of its efforts to build new revenue streams and improve the city after many years of stagnation and decline.
