The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has agreed to review its prudential code and capital framework under pressure from the National Audit Office (NAO), The MJ understands.
A spokesman for CIPFA, which writes and is responsible for the prudential code for capital finance, said it was currently finalising a consultation, which will be launched in the next few weeks.
