COVID concerns prompt council to return to meeting virtually

Cheshire West & Chester Council has threatened to ignore the Government edict to return to face-to-face meetings due to COVID concerns.

The local authority said its full council meeting of all 70 members scheduled for July 15 would now be an informal remote meeting rather than being held in person on the advice of its director of public health, chief executive and monitoring officer.
