Local government has been urged to shine a spotlight on the important agendas likely to be crowded out by Brexit wrangling and the General Election.

In a dramatic call to arms, former Society of Local Authority Chief Executives president Mark Rogers called for the sector to speak with the ‘strongest possible united voice’ to ensure national party leaders prioritised issues such as health and social care, devolution, inclusive growth, safeguarding and housing.
