Canterbury City Council chief executive Colin Carmichael has announced he will step down after 25 years with the authority.
Mr Carmichael has said it is ‘time to pass on the baton’.
In a statement he said: ‘I have just passed 25 years working for this wonderful council. I never expected to stay so long, but Canterbury is a very seductive place.
