Friction between health and social care bosses intensified this week as council leaders warned that Whitehall threats to withhold cash will have a ‘catastrophic impact’.
Some councils and clinical commissioning groups (CCG) that submitted a delayed transfer of care (DToC) target below the national expectation have now received a letter from NHS England asking them to revisit their plans.
