Chiefs hit back at TV exposé

Social services directors have hit back after Birmingham City Council was featured in a highly-critical Dispatches TV programme.

In the wake of the broadcast, the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS) pointed out that recruitment of social workers was ‘more acute than ever’ and highlighted the need for more support and training.
