Most complaints about councils received by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGO) in 2018/19 concerned education, children’s services and adult social care.
The regulator’s annual review found 19% of council complaints were in the education and children’s services category and 15% in the adult social care category. Taken together this makes up more than one-third of the total.
