Christchurch admits defeat in reorganisation battle

Christchurch BC’s leader has apologised after admitting defeat in his attempt to save the council from local government reorganisation.

The council said today it had decided to walk away from legal proceedings after its judicial review of local government reorganisation plans in Dorset was refused by the High Court, which also blocked the authority’s attempts to appeal the decision.
