‘Churn’ among councils’ kids’ services chiefs lowest since 2012

The level of ‘churn’ among council directors of children’s services is at its lowest point for five years while average tenure is on the increase, promising new figures have revealed.

A study of post holders of the statutory director of children’s services (DCS) role found there were 44 changes in DCS posts at the 152 upper tier councils in 2016/17.
