Complex outsourcing 'not an excuse to exclude public'

Increasingly complex modern outsourcing is not an excuse to exclude the public from the design of future partnerships, a think-tank has warned.

As the public sector reacts to the collapse of Carillion and the demands of balancing scarce resources with 21st Century expectations for services, NLGN researchers urged councils and their business partners to involve the public more directly in the design and delivery of services.
