Conquering housing’s many complexities

This week at the Local Government Association’s (LGA) annual conference we are launching a new report to help councils understand the various complexities within their local housing markets to inform their decision-making.

It shows that there is no simple single housing crisis and that the current one-size fits all approach to national housing policy is failing to meet the complex and multiple housing challenges faced in different areas across the country. As a result, housing is either unaffordable, unavailable or unsuitable for many people that need it.
