Council calls for Hancock intervention

Telford & Wrekin Council has called for health secretary Matt Hancock to urgently intervene in a decision to reconfigure hospital services. 

The council unanimously opposes plans to make the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital the main 24/7 A&E hospital for the area, with the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford becoming a dedicated site for planned operations.
