Council chiefs ‘must be sector leaders’

The Association of Directors of Children’s Services’ (ADCS) president has insisted serving council chiefs should continue to perform such roles.

After questions from some about officers’ capacity to lead sector organisations while holding on to their day jobs, Alison Michalska said it was ‘really important’ that the ADCS president was a serving director of children’s services.
