Council leader resigns after being 'kept in the dark'

Torridge DC has elected a new leader after a stinging resignation statement from its outgoing top councillor.

Independent councillor and former deputy leader Ken James stepped into the shoes of Anna Dart after she resigned from the role, suggesting she had been kept in the dark by officers about ‘certain information that I consider to be important’.
