Council to face Grenfell inquiry

Kensington and Chelsea LBC has become the only party involved in the second phase of the Grenfell inquiry to concede its role in the disaster.

Speaking as the second phase of the inquiry into the 2017 disaster, which claimed the lives of 72 people, began on Monday, council leader, Cllr Elizabeth Campbell, conceded the council ‘could have and should have done more to stop it happening’.
