Councils can save £3bn on adult social care

Councils could save £3bn a year on adult social care services by reducing demand, a new report has suggested.

Research by consultancy iMPOWER has argued that, although increasing demand for adult social care is inevitable, 70% or £10bn of this is ‘influenceable’ and 20% or £3bn is ‘avoidable’.
