The local government sector has stressed the need for local action following a disappointing close to the COP26 conference.
Although the final agreement highlighted the 'urgent need for multilevel and cooperative action,’ it has faced criticism for failing to phase out the use of coal and will not achieve the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5C by 2100.
