Councils in fresh NHS warning

The Local Government Association (LGA) has issued a fresh warning that the NHS must not forget councils as it embarks on its Long Term Plan.

Responding formally to the NHS’ plans for the future, the LGA took issue with the Integrated Care Provider contract, which aims to bring together NHS providers, commissioners and councils to improve health and care locally.
