Councils resist peer challenge offer

The Local Government Association (LGA) is facing resistance as it struggles to persuade reluctant councils to undergo a corporate peer challenge.

Latest data showed that 115 peer challenges were delivered over the last 12 months, with a higher tale-up from unitary authorities (50%) than districts (20%).
