Councils show support following Westminster attack

Councils across the country have held a minute’s silence following the yesterday’s terror attack in Westminster.

In an outpouring of support for the capital, authorities sent their condolences and flew flags at half mast, while Birmingham City Council coloured its iconic central library red, white and blue. 

Birmingham leader John Clancy tweeted: ‘The @LibaryofBham lit to show Birmingham’s solidarity with London. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by today’s #Westminster attack.’
