Councils ‘unfairly disadvantaged’ in asylum-seeking system

Two councils have pleaded with neighbouring authorities to step-up to take in more unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC).

Kent CC and Portsmouth City Council described their ‘unfairly disadvantaged and unsustainable position’ in a letter to other authorities in the south-east.
