Councils warned slow business rates revisions ‘unacceptable’

Fewer than half of all billing authorities in England have issued revised business rate bills following the introduction of a £300m discretionary relief package, government figures have shown.

According to the data, just 157 out of 326 billing authorities have told the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) that they have reissued bills in accordance with the discretionary relief package.
