Northamptonshire CC chief executive Dr Paul Blantern has resigned, shortly after speaking out about the county’s dire financial position.
Last week, Dr Blantern and his leader, Cllr Heather Smith, both warned of the severe financial pressures facing the council and called for the government to review the funding formula.
