Croydon agrees to financial action plan

Croydon LBC has agreed an overhaul of its financial management in response to failings over a £67m refurbishment project.

The council met to agree its response to a public interest report on the revamp of Fairfield Halls between 2016 and 2019, a project that overran by a year and cost double the original budget.
