DCN to hike fees

The District Councils’ Network (DCN) plans to hike its fees by up to four times for some local authorities as it runs out of legacy funding.

Under proposals expected to be voted on at its autumn assembly in November, fees for a council with a population of 150,000 would increase from an ‘unsustainable’ flat fee of £500 in 2018/19 to £2,250 in 2021/22.
