Delay homeless laws until more data is available

Ministers have been urged to delay new homelessness laws amid reports that the number of ‘hidden homeless’ is significantly higher than official estimates.

London Councils’ executive member for housing, Sir Steve Bullock, who is also mayor of Lewisham, called for the Government to delay implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act, due to come into force in April.
