Derbyshire chief is axed to save money

Derbyshire CC has axed the chief executive role and will reduce the size of its top management team to save more than £300,000 a year.

The assistant chief executive and strategic director of corporate resources roles will also be abolished, while the position of strategic director of commissioning, communities and policy will be created.
