I was unable to attend the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy conference this year but I’m told there was good reaction to the Society of District Council Treasurers workshop.
We were pleased to have the support of Lee Geraghty and Rupert Dewhirst from LG Futures who gave an outline of some of the implications and challenges for district councils arising from the move to 100% business rate retention.
