Districts' crucial role in the prevention agenda

I welcome the Government’s recently released Prevention is better than cure: our vision to help you live well for longer and believe that the district council’s contribution is key – particularly in ensuring our residents have the right homes, suited to their needs and have access to our services at the earliest possible stage.

I was pleased to see the chancellor’s Autumn Budget also announced the much-needed additional funding for the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) alongside extra funding for adult social care.
