Elections staff 'fearful' of national poll

Council officers are ‘fearful of a general election’ due to a lack of resources, peers have been told.

A House of Lords Committee looking into the impact of the 2013 Electoral Registration and Administration Act heard claims that funding had not kept pace with increased workloads.
