Equal pay firm suspends activities

The company that led the recent equal pay action against Glasgow City Council has suspended all activities.

Action 4 Equality Scotland (A4ES), which represented more than half of the 16,000 women in the £548m equal pay claim settled by the council earlier this year, has reportedly taken the decision following an approach by the Financial Conduct Authority over its failure to comply with new legislation.
