Funds scorn boycott proposal

Local government pension funds have spoken out against the prospect of legislation to prevent them from divesting on political or ethical grounds.

Last week communities secretary Sajid Javid warned he ‘would not hesitate to act’ if local authorities introduced restrictions that were ‘not in line with foreign policy’.
