Gearing up cities for the uncertainty ahead

With MPs having voted overwhelmingly in favour of triggering Article 50, the Government can now focus on the negotiations. The prime minister is talking tough, making clear that while the Government wants a deal with Europe, it will walk away from talks if the right offer isn’t on the table.

The latest Cities Outlook report by Centre for Cities shows how much is at stake if a deal is not done and underlines the opportunities and challenges for the Government in realising its central economic aims of boosting trade, growth and productivity in places ‘up and down the country’.
