‘Give us better access to Brexit negotiations’

Ministers must provide the sector with better access to ongoing Brexit negotiations or risk leaving councils unable to cope with new demands on services, a local authority chief executive has warned.

Speaking to The MJ, Cornwall Council boss, Kate Kennally, said that councils’ ability to tackle austerity and demand-related capacity issues was being hindered by the lack of access to data that accurately reflects the projected outcomes of Brexit talks.
