Local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) are to be integrated into devolution deals as part of the Levelling Up White Paper.
Doubts had been cast over the future of LEPs amid a national review and indications from communities secretary Michael Gove that he preferred ‘democratically-elected leaders’ to take on such roles.
