Government commits to review councils' refugee capacity

The Government has committed to publishing ‘regular updates’ on the number of child refugees resettled in the UK as questions remain over councils’ capacity to support them.

MPs have been calling on the Government to publish fresh assessments of councils’ capacity to accommodate child migrants following concerns over ministers’ figures.

In the House of Commons yesterday, Conservative MP Heidi Allen said the debate was all about the Dubs amendment and whether the Government could 'bring it back to life'.
